The basic area in the basement where loading of students belongings and materials would be done. Because the building has no formal security office this area would be available to provide an around the clock security home for the school.
It also seems appropriate that somewhere in the first floor would be an office which would serve as the administrative loci for the facility.
The Basement would have parking for at least 6 cars. This would allow turn around space and contain recharging station for 3 electric cars to have preference to the parking.
The Three main components of the water collection system are found in this level. First, the rainwater collection system would filter and reuse some of the precipitation that enters the building. Secondly, the graywater system collection would be water that would be used and collected from waling surfaces and planted roof areas and reused in toilet areas as a medium for the low flow fixtures, as well as, the planted areas of the plaza and the roof. And finally the potable water which could be used for fire suppression of the steel framed building.
