Architecture as Art

As Foster  indicated in his own words" this building was an attempt to capitalize on the movement of Libeskind's, Gehry's and others which radicalized the current trends in architecture".

It is a shame that because the need for security is paramount enjoying the interior spaces can not usually be done by the casual visitor who is most in need of examples of good design in architecture. The building form is arresting from afar, but shrouded in security because of the need to protect. What I see  is that  European Architects have developed a High Tech Modernism Style which has not completely been adapted by the Colonies.  The newer European iconic structures seem to show great skill at detailing and execution, which in the United States is treated with size and bulk
